Annabelle is Two!

Just like Annabelle is two.

Our little lady is a joy. Over the last year she has become a confident, independent, funny, cheeky, determined whirlwind. A fan of routine and making us laugh. Forever playing peek-a-boo and asking to be chased she is ready to entertain and laugh. Her speech has come on leaps and bounds and she knows enough to tell us exactly what she wants and how.

She is happiest with both Laura and I around but she’ll welcome guests and often insists on saying hi to everyone we meet.
We can’t wait to see what she’ll be like going back out into the post Corona world. One things for sure we will miss her constant presence when she’s at nursery (even if it is just for one day a week). She’s great fun to be around and one of my absolute favourite people in the world.

We often spell out Annabelle to help her learn her letters (as we gave her such a long name). Here’s how we describe her:

  • A = Awesome
  • N = Notable
  • N = Nice
  • A = Adorable
  • B = Brilliant
  • E = Energetic
  • L = Lovable
  • L = Loving
  • E = Enjoyable
And here are a few of her favourite things:
  • Bisbee
  • Seeing her family
  • Seeing friends
  • All dogs
  • Mama’s cooking
  • Being outside
  • Paw Patrol
  • Gardening
  • The Wiggles
  • The Blue Bucket (that is passed over from our neighbours with a treat almost daily)
  • Going on walks
  • Talking on the phone
  • Naming colours
  • Running
  • Naming shapes
  • Helping cook
  • Cleaning
  • Boss Baby (and saying Boss Baby…..we think she thinks she’s a Boss Baby)
  • Drinking milk
  • Paddling pools
  • Being nosey
  • Picking up (and carrying) rocks
  • Throwing sticks
  • Reading
  • Counting
  • Our new car
  • Going to nursery
  • Being chased
  • Going on holiday (especially on a plane)
  • Colouring
  • Baths

The last 12 months have flown by, I know every parent says that but seriously. We have tried to track the exact point that Annabelle went from baby to toddler. Then toddler to our little girl. It’s hard. We feel like everyday she wakes up and knows more, says more and understands more. Thankfully we have a lot of photos and videos to refer back to!
