Annabelle is Two: The Video!

Just like Annabelle is two.

Okay we may have said that already. Our girl turning two has been a big event in our household. As Annabelle’s birthday turned two on a Thursday we had 3 days of celebrations.

We also put together a video of her last year. It’s half an hour long (in case you want to watch it) but there were just so many highlights.

You can see the video here.

On the actual day we had a family day, we started with a relaxing morning and after nap headed into town. In town we went to spend some of Annabelle’s birthday money on new clothes (it is amazing how much she’s grown). We also picked up some doughnuts from Tim Horton’s. Annabelle had a great time. Dinner was then a McDonald’s – a treat none of has had since lock-down started.

Friday the weather was dreadful. We had grand plans to go on a family walk but decided against it. Instead we celebrated the 4th of July a day early. Dinner was Mac & Cheese, Pulled Pork and coleslaw….delicious!

Saturday had always been planned in as Annabelle’s party. Due to Covid we changed the plans significantly and had a small gathering. As we were allowed to see family my parents came over as well as my sister, brother in law and aura’s brother. It was lovely. In some ways keeping it small worked out better. Annabelle was able to really enjoy seeing everyone and they could spend time with her. It was less overwhelming than a party.

Laura baked and decorated an amazing cake that everyone loved. In fact the cake was gone within the afternoon!

Annabelle got some amazing presents. She is definitely a lucky lady and we have some super generous family and friends.
