We aren’t one for gift guides in general. Mainly because other people do it better and we aren’t big at giving out advice. However we thought we would share a quick run down of some gift ideas that could be a great addition for family and friends this Christmas!

Something different: Buckt

Technically Buckt Boxes, these are subscription boxes that offer up to 5 experiences in Birmingham or Manchester and the surrounding areas. You can read about some of our experiences here. If you use SARAHPLUSLAURA you can get 50% off your first box (you could even get one for yourself! The Duo Boxes are great gifts for couples whatever their age who love to explore and get out and do things.

Something personal: Tiny Tot Tribe

The trend for personalised clothing is on the increase and since having Annabelle we have invested in a few items with ‘Mama’ and ‘Mummy’. It has helped highlight to people that we are both Annabelle’s Mum’s and we get plenty of compliments. Earlier this year we were chosen to be Tiny Tot Tribe reps and if you use Annabelle10 you can get discount. They have a huge variety of items from bags for red books to pajamas, family t-shirt sets to cute jumpers.

Something Educational: Hape Rainbow Train Set

Annabelle loves anything and everything musical, she always has. This wooden train set includes musical puzzle pieces that the train crosses. There are plenty of ways the track goes together providing hours of entertainment. Annabelle was a little young for this at 16 months but we look forward to reintroducing it at Christmas when she’ll be 18 months. You can find it on Amazon here.  Hape actually have tons of wooden toys if you know anyone with children and want a long-lasting gift.

Something Social: Play Kitchen

We have been told about play kitchens by more than a few people and have invested in one for Annabelle’s Christmas. We went for an ASDA wooden kitchen (here) after trying, and failing, to find a secondhand IKEA kitchen (here) online. We have seen plenty of redesigns of the IKEA kitchen that we were looking to try but we can do something similar with the ASDA kitchen.

Something Special: The Ruby Slipper Vintage Dresses

This Etsy store creates beautiful handmade children apparel from vintage fabrics from our childhood. The quality is amazing and the designs are stunning. We were lucky enough to be gifted a stunning dress for Annabelle for a corn field photo-shoot we had in the USA. The dresses would be perfect for an occasion like Christmas or a special birthday party. Check out the store on Esty here.

It seems a little early to this but have a lovely Christmas 🙂 Hope the Christmas prep goes well! Good Luck.
